How and where to apply.

HAVE A PLAN

we have a simple 5 step plan to getting your application done and submitted on time.

1
APPLICATION CRITERIA

Once you’ve explored the different careers and the specific courses required, review the application criteria. Be sure to check the required APS as well as any additional requirements or subjects to ensure you qualify.

2
APPLICATION DEADLINE

None of this matters if you don’t keep your application deadline visible as a daily reminder and plan accordingly. There is no recourse once the deadline has passed. Always aim to submit your application at least a week before the deadline, so that if you encounter issues like load shedding, server problems, or missing documents, you have enough time to resolve them and submit on time.

3
APPLICATION FEES

Most universities charge application fees, especially for first-time applications. It’s important to check the fee requirements and ensure you have enough time to source the funds and make the payment. Be sure to keep your proof of payment to include with your application.

4
APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

The required documents will typically depend on the qualification you are applying for. However, it’s safe to assume that you will need the application form, your Identity Document, and your most recent school results. Since you will likely be applying before your matric results are released, ensure you attach the required interim results. Be sure to carefully read the instructions to determine whether the documents need to be certified by a Commissioner of Oaths (a local police station is usually the best option).

5
APPLICATION MEDIUM

Different universities offer various application methods, but the most reliable way is to apply online, as most universities prefer this approach. Online portals provide a wealth of information and resources and allow you to receive proof of submission once your application is complete. When using an online portal, make sure to keep track of any reference or student numbers for future reference. Also, consider your load shedding schedule, as you don’t want to be interrupted before completing your application.
